Terms of service

The terms, in plain language.

Last updated 16 September 2026

These terms govern the use of TimsPro, provided by TimsPro LLC, Florida, United States. By signing in you agree to them. If an organisation invited you, that organisation's agreement with us also applies to it, and where the two differ, the organisation's agreement wins for the organisation.

1. The service

TimsPro provides on the job experiences: authored workdays inside a real role, played in a browser, with the learner's work scored against keys the author wrote. Authors and instructors build and publish experiences; learners and candidates take them; the people an organisation designates read the results.

2. Accounts and invitations

3. Organisations

A school, university or employer that uses TimsPro with its own people is responsible for:

For schools, student work and results are the school's education records; we process them only to provide the service, as described in the privacy policy, and the school may direct us to correct or delete them.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use TimsPro to:

5. Your content and ours

6. Scores and the AI

Days are written and responses are scored by a large language model against keys written by people. Scoring happens on our servers, once, at the end of a day; a learner's browser cannot set a score. Every graded result records the exact keys it was scored against, so it can be explained later. The model can be wrong. We design the scoring to judge substance rather than vocabulary and to degrade honestly, reporting "not scored" rather than inventing a number, but no score should be the sole basis for a decision about a person.

7. Privacy

The privacy policy is part of these terms. It says what we collect, where it lives, how long we keep it, who can see it, and how to have it removed. Two rules it describes are enforced by the service itself: education work never reaches an employer without an adult's or guardian's consent, and every view of a result is logged.

8. Availability and changes

TimsPro is offered as a pilot service while it is being built out with its first organisations. We aim for it to be available whenever you need it, we maintain it and its providers to that end, and we will tell organisations about planned downtime. We may change or retire features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that affect how an organisation works. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and pilot organisations should keep the evidence they need for their own records.

9. Fees

Fees, if any, are set out in the agreement with the organisation. Individuals invited by an organisation pay nothing to TimsPro. Where an organisation's agreement sets a usage allowance, the service reports usage to the organisation so it can see where it stands.

10. Warranties and liability

We provide the service with reasonable skill and care. Beyond what the law does not let us exclude, the service is provided as is, and we make no other warranty, including that a score is accurate or that an experience is suitable for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, TimsPro LLC is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions made on the basis of a result, and our total liability to an organisation in any twelve months is limited to the fees that organisation paid us in those twelve months, or one hundred US dollars if it paid none. Nothing here limits liability for fraud, for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for anything that cannot be limited by law.

11. Ending the relationship

You may stop using TimsPro at any time and ask for your account to be removed. An organisation may end its agreement as that agreement provides. We may end access for a breach of these terms that is not put right within fourteen days of notice, or immediately for serious misuse. When an organisation's agreement ends, we keep its data for thirty days so it can be exported, then remove it, except for records the law or the privacy policy says we keep.

12. Law, disputes and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the state and federal courts of Florida have jurisdiction, unless an organisation's agreement says otherwise. Before either of us goes to court we agree to try to resolve the matter by writing to each other and talking for thirty days. If any part of these terms is unenforceable the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the date at the top changes when we do, and material changes are announced to organisations before they take effect.
